Laurent Garnier is one of the fundamental figures in the history of European electronic music and one of the key artists behind the expansion of techno and house beyond the underground club scene. With a career spanning more than three decades, his trajectory has been defined by constant exploration, rave culture and a deeply open-minded vision of music.

His story begins in late-80s Manchester, where he experienced first-hand the acid house explosion in clubs such as The Haçienda, a defining space in the evolution of contemporary electronic culture. That experience would permanently shape both his artistic identity and his understanding of the dancefloor.

Back in France, Laurent Garnier became a central figure in the Paris scene through his legendary Wake Up nights at Rex Club, one of the most influential venues in European techno. From there, he helped build a new identity for French electronic music, connecting the energy of Detroit and Chicago with a more experimental and emotional European sensibility.

As a producer, he has created some of the most iconic tracks in modern electronic music, including Crispy Bacon, Acid Eiffel and The Man with the Red Face, records that redefined the boundaries between techno, jazz, house and experimental electronics. His albums, especially 30 and Unreasonable Behaviour, are widely considered key references in the history of the genre.

Alongside his own productions, he co-founded the label F Communications with Eric Morand, an essential platform for the development of French electronic music in the 90s and a space that supported artists, sounds and formats far removed from commercial formulas.

Throughout his career, he has performed at some of the world’s most important clubs and festivals, from Berghain, fabric and Space Ibiza to Sónar, Awakenings and Time Warp, always maintaining a unique connection with the dancefloor and an uncommon ability to move across genres and generations.

["post-1346","artista","type-artista","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
