2001 is the artistic project of Nicolas, a DJ and selector born in Brussels in 2001 into a family deeply connected to music. Surrounded from an early age by instruments, rehearsals and jam sessions, he developed a natural connection with sound through the guitar, discovering music early on as a way to transform emotion into rhythm, texture and movement.
Over time, electronic music became the space where all his influences could coexist freely. His proposal moves between house, minimal and sounds deeply connected to underground culture, creating sets where groove, sensitivity and storytelling evolve organically.
In just a few years, he has built an international trajectory performing at clubs and events across Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Latin America, sharing line-ups with artists such as Richy Ahmed, Ricardo Villalobos, DJ Masda, Sweely, Tama Sumo & Lakuti, John Dimas and Sugar Free, among other key names from the contemporary underground scene.
His journey has taken him to dancefloors such as Breakfast Club in Melbourne, Golden Gate in Berlin and Rhythm Point After Hours in Ibiza, as well as events and venues like Automatic Paris, La Cabane and Umi in Brussels, festivals in Lebanon, Avant Garten, Trotamundo and OFFSónar Beach Events in Barcelona. He has also played at venues such as Pacha in Spain and Mute in Argentina, constantly expanding his understanding of different club cultures around the world.
Today, 2001 continues to develop an approach increasingly focused on sonic exploration and long-format storytelling, embracing extended sets where gradual construction and connection with the dancefloor take center stage.
His artistic identity is guided by instinct, shaped by musical heritage and driven by a constant search for emotional depth within club culture.
